Paul Egger, President 

Paul Egger is an executive with TELUS International; a subsidiary of TELUS corp, based in Vancouver. Professionally Paul’s career evolution has been in increasingly senior leadership roles in support and operations of IT Management, Business Process Outsourcing and Contact Center services. Roles with TELUS International have included Vice President Business Transformation and Technology Operations, VP Global Call Center Operations, Senior VP Regional Operations and Vice president of operations. Paul has supported teams in Southeast Asia, North America, Central America and in the UK and has lived with his family in Hong Kong and Manila, Philippines. In addition Paul has worked in such diverse locations as Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea, India, Bulgaria, Romania, and Guatemala over his career.

Paul is a native son of North Vancouver and was educated in the North Shore public school system and attended a number of Vancouver post-secondary institutions attaining a Diploma of Technology from BCIT and a Degree in Computer Science from SFU. Growing up in North Vancouver in the ‘70s Paul was enthusiastically involved in the local music scene and was a member of a number of school and extracurricular jazz and concert bands, including the North Vancouver Youth Band, playing trumpet. He believes strongly in the importance of the fine and performing arts as part of children’s and youth’s growth and development and as an ongoing part of a balanced life.

Paul and his wife Kit currently make their home in North Vancouver. Paul’s involvement with Sinfonia began as a parent of a founding member of the Sinfonia Youth Orchestra. In addition to Sinfonia Paul is involved with the Handsworth Music Parents Association where he is able to utilize another or his passions in life, still photography, as the official photographer.

Chris Pettypiece , Past-President

Chris Pettypiece has held a variety of leadership roles at TELUS in his 25 year career with BC’s largest and highly successful private sector employers. His knowledge, experience and track record of success have contributed most notably over the last 7 years to the organization’s Field Service Delivery capability, Network Technology transformation and most recently to organization’s Quality and Customer Experience interests through his current position as Director, National Quality Assurance. His competencies in operations management, program management and leadership have been the greatest contributors to his achievements at TELUS. 

A member of the Lions Gate Sinfonia Board of Directors since January 2009, Chris is a long-standing member of the organization’s leadership team and stepped up to chair the Board of Directors through his election as President in November 2012. In addition to his not-for-profit work with Lions Gate Sinfonia, Chris also sits as Vice President of Delta Hospice Society’s Board of Directors where he also leads this highly valued and successful community organization’s Board Governance & Strategy Team. 

Residing in South Delta for most of his life, Chris is father to two sons and husband to Sandra. He is an avid, lifelong amateur musician who rehearses and performs regularly in the Lower Mainland bringing energetic and engaging live ‘unplugged’ performances of popular music to small venues and not-for-profit events with a small group of talented local musicians.
